Volume 3 Number 1 - January 2006
In October, Verity announced second Verity Connections event user group meeting March 29-31 at the Disney Yacht and Beach Club in Orlando. Autonomy has announced its intent to address many of the questions that customers of K2, Ultraseek, TeleForm and Liquid Office may have after the acquisition. Check with your Verity sales team for up-to-the-minute details.
We've also learned that there will be a webcast hosted by Dr. Michael Lynch and Anthony Bettencourt to discuss Autonomy's commitment to preserving your investment its Uktraseek product and perhaps other details of the merger. The call is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 9 a.m. PST. Announced in a recent newsletter, you may want to register for this event today!
FASTForward User group February 1 2006
Winter is the time to attend user conferences, and like Verity. FAST has scheduled its FAST Forward user meeting for February 1-3 2006 in Miami, Florida.
Featured keynote speakers will include James Burke, journalist and author well known for Connections and other excellent television series and books. He will be joined by John Battelle, author of The Search: How Google and Its Rivals Rewrote the Rules of Business and Transformed Our Culture.
In addition to these great keynotes, we expect a good opportunity to learn more about FAST product plans, meet with other users and developers, and share technical information on the FAST enterprise products.

As if Autonomy and FAST having user group meetings this Winter doesn't give us enough opportunity to travel, Enterprise Search returns to New York May 23-24 with a great agenda of industry experts and sessions to help you understand the issues you will see when planning, implementing, or operating enterprise search.
