Don't be surprised if Verity, Autonomy, and other traditional search companies start to feel pressure from Redmond. Putting it Together: Taxonomy, Classification, and Search The more complex the enterprise, the greater the need to search among multiple sources, but the one- or two-word search used by most people "doesn't give much complexity in the results," says Eric Woods, research director in the software and service group at Ovum, a London-based technology consultancy in the newest online issue of Transform Magazine. Verity acquires content capture firm Cardiff Software On February 2, 2004, Verity, Inc. and Cardiff Software announced a definitive agreement for Verity to acquire Cardiff, the Vista, California company specializing in document and forms-driven business process.
